Biography
Dr. Peter Ku is Consultant at the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat of the Kowloon East Hospital Cluster and Founder of the Facial Plastic Surgery Service in the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong. He also holds academic position as Clinical Professor (honorary) and Chief of the Division of Facial Plastic Surgery at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He subspecializes exclusively in facial plastic surgery, dedicating his practice to functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty and microtia reconstruction.
Dr. Ku is an official trainer in facial plastic surgery and is Chairman of the Facial Plastic Surgery Board at the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists. He is an active member of the Pan Asia Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, and the International Society of Auricular Reconstruction. He holds dual fellowship credentials as Fellow of the European Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the International Board for Certification of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
As a key member of the Cleft Lip and Palate Multidisciplinary Team at Kowloon East Cluster and Hong Kong Children's Hospital, Dr. Ku works alongside Paediatric Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery. He has developed a special interest in cleft lip nasal reconstruction. In this Masterclass in Rhinoplasty, Dr. Ku will share his surgical approach and clinical experience in managing the complex nasal deformities seen in cleft lip patients.
