Biography

Professor Philip Li is Clinical Associate Professor at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and Chief of Division of Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology at both HKU and HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. He was the first locally trained specialist in immunology & allergy in Hong Kong and continues to lead in the field through multiple roles, including President of the Hong Kong Institute of Allergy, Board Director of the Asia Pacific Association of Allergy, Asthma and Clinical Immunology (APAAACI), and Secretary of the International Societies Council of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI).


Professor Li’s research has earned notable recognition, including the distinguished Patrick Manson Gold Medal for the best MD thesis, and the Richard Yu Lectureship by the Hong Kong College of Physicians. In addition to his scientific work, his advocacy efforts were honoured with the Humanitarian Award from the Hong Kong Red Cross. His substantial clinical and public service contributions have been acknowledged with the Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award, the Chief Executive’s Commendation for Public Service, and the HKUMed Clinical Service Excellence Award.
