Biography
Dr. Ryan Cho is Cluster Chief of Service for the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat at United Christian Hospital and Tseung Kwan O Hospital in Hong Kong. He graduated from the Medical Faculty of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), followed by specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at CUHK-affiliated ENT departments. His clinical focus encompasses rhinology and skull base surgery, and head and neck surgery, with further training attained through clinical attachments at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and the Cranial Base Surgery Division, Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. Cho has a special interest in endoscopic endonasal surgery for the management of benign and malignant sinonasal and anterior skull base tumours, recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and skull base osteoradionecrosis. He has attained the Global Online Fellowship of the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies (IFHNOS) and post-fellowship training in head and neck surgery with the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists. His academic contributions have been recognized with the Junior Members Travel Grant Award at the European Rhinologic Society Meeting (ERS2018).
As an active contributor to medical education, Dr. Cho is instructor in various dissection and surgical training courses.
